Terms of Service

Metricum · Last updated 6 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Metricum app ("the app", "we", "us"). By downloading or using Metricum, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The service

Metricum displays publicly available Google Scholar and PubMed metrics for a researcher profile you configure, along with trends, alerts, and AI-generated summaries. Metricum is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google Scholar, PubMed, or the National Center for Biotechnology Information.

Accounts

Sign-in is passwordless: you provide an email address and verify it with a one-time code. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account.

Metricum Pro subscriptions

Some features (frequent data refresh, AI insights, trending-paper alerts, and push notifications) require a paid Metricum Pro subscription, offered as an auto-renewable subscription:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region.

Data accuracy

Metrics are sourced from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and free accounts are updated less frequently. Metricum is provided for informational purposes and should not be relied upon as an authoritative record of academic impact.
